Chemical Engineering – in German
This specialty was created in the 1991/1992 academic year on
the curriculum of specialty Verfahrenstechnik, studied in Technical
University, Hamburg-Harburg and conformed to Bulgarian specialty
Chemical Engineering, the UCTM’s features and traditions
as well as on recommendation of German Engineering Association
in 1997 with the financial help of the German Agency for Academic
Exchange (DAAD).
All applicants have to pass not only the obligatory exams in
chemistry or in mathematics but the obligatory German
language test, as well. Nearly half of the courses are held
in German.
The good students can do their practical work in German Universities
and the best ones can do their diploma work in Germany. There
are more than 15 specialty graduates that study in postgraduate
programs in different German universities.
Graduates receive Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
degree and can apply for Master’s and Doctor’s study.
