Education (STIFTUNG BULGARISCHE HOCHSCHULFOERDERUNG)
The motto of the Foundation is:
"Give a fish to a man and it will serve him as food
for a day. Teach a man to catch fish and he will make his
own living all his life."
Gunter John Bachor established the Foundation in 1991 in Germany
in order to provide financial, material and theoretical support
to state universities in Bulgaria as well as to their teachers
and students.
The sponsors of the Foundation are well-known German representatives,
leaders and owners of successful firms in the corresponding
branches.
The Foundation has so far granted over 2 000 000 leva to universities
and their teachers and students.
